Thanks Eric,
Is there any way to paste commands copied from another application or script into the IDLE shell?

I am using the IDLE extensively and I have noticed I cannot paste text or

A copy of the command will appear at the current Python prompt. You can then edit it with the arrow keys or the mouse and then hit Return to execute the modified command.
