Dear Sir/Madam I am using Chimera as part of my thesis. I need to find a homology model for the human muscarinic M1 receptor. However, it always tells me service is down or an error when loading from uniprot. Am I doing something wrong? The Uniprot ID is P11229 and I get fetch ID failed Thanks -- Neil Bugeja

Hi Neil, I can fetch P11229 with no problem, both from UniProt (which will just get the sequence + sequence annotations), and from ModBase (which will get homology models for this sequence, built using the ModBase pipeline). The latter gives me 29 models! So I have no idea what could be wrong. All I can say is to choose "File... Fetch by ID" from the menu, and in the fetch dialog choose Database: UniProt or ModBase, and then be careful to enter P11229 correctly into the type-in ID field next to that choice.
