You can't use apt-get for Chimera, but you can for its successor ChimeraX. But it's still not from a repository. Like Chimera, you need to click on the EULA (End User License Agreement) to download it.

Hi,
Is there a way to simply use sudo apt-get install to get Chimera
on my linux laptop? Much appreciated. Chimera may not be in
the repository.
