Hi Jun Ha,

The black image is almost surely a graphics driver problem.  It is a little strange that it happens with the laptop display and not the external display.  But the settings you are using are probably not reasonable.  Asking for a 5000 x 3750 pixel image at 4x supersampling makes a 20000 by 15000 pixel image and then bins the pixels down by 4 to get the requested image size.  Unless you are printing a poster of this image this is overkill.   At 5000x3750 if it is just for screen viewing or printing on a standard letter size piece of paper I would not use any supersample (1x).  If you really need these settings then you will need a better graphics driver or better graphics card.

Hello,

I have been fan of "Save Image..." when I am making figures. I have been using the function for some time, and last time I used it was Friday (Feb 9th, 2018). I would take images of 5000x3750 with supersample of 4x4 all the time.

However, today, I noticed that the function was not working. When I specify pixel that is above the screen resolution (1920x1080), it would just be blank black image with specified image size. However, if I do not change the Chimera resolution and keep it default (ex. 1024x768), it is properly imaged.

I have not had any system change in my computer. The only change is that I am currently using my laptop's screen, whereas before I have been using monitor connected to my laptop via HDMI cable.

What could be the reason for this sudden malfunction?

Best,
Junha.
