Hi Luca, Three things: 1) You should probably open sessions with File->Restore Session rather than File->Open 2) You shouldn’t be being asked to identify the file type, since the file name has a known suffix type (.py: Python). Make sure that the “File type” selector near the bottom left of the File->Open dialog is set to “all (guess type)” rather than “all (ask type)” 3) Even if you are asked the type, you should pick “Python” for .py files. It looks like you picked “Chimera commands”, which interprets the file as Chimera commands rather than as Python code. —Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab
