Hi Michał, In commands you can save positions with “savepos” and restore them gradually over several frames with “reset”… so there is positional interpolation without too much trouble. There are also several other commands that take a “frames” option to occur over several image update frames, like “move” for translation and “roll” for rotation and “scale” to zoom in and out. See the list of movie-related commands and links to example scripts in the “Making Movies” page: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html> However, it is still some work to include hiding/showing and changing colors at the right places in your script, and using “2dlabels” to change your 2D labels if you have any. I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Chimera(X) team Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco

Hello, I would like to make a movie using Chimera. I need to interpolate between key frames. I know how to do it using Animation tool, but I would like to do it for thousands of frames and clicking it all by hand is not doable. Is there any magic command for making timeline automatic way? -- best regards, Michał Kadlof <m.kadlof@cent.uw.edu.pl>
