Hi Ahmad, Sorry, there is no option to reassign chain IDs randomly. There is a “changechains” command and a “Change Chain IDs” GUI where you have to specify the current chain ID and the new chain ID: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/changechains.html> <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/editing/changechai...> Actually, Chimera may not even understand number chain IDs, but I don’t have an example to try right now. The documentation currently says that chain IDs are alphabetical characters. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/frameatom_spec.html> Best, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Hello,
I have a structure with multiple chain IDs, some of them include number chain IDs and same letter small case and capital case chain IDs.
I want to reassign the chain ID's randomly so that they are letters first then numbers, capital case then small case. How can I do that?!
Best regards.
