Yes, "turn" or "roll" specifies exact rotations, "move" exact translations. The rotation commands also allow you to specify center and axis of rotation (it doesn't have to be X, Y, or Z). <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/roll.html> <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/turn.html> <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/move.html> <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html#moviecommands> Best, Elaine ---------- Elaine C. Hi Konrad,
Maybe try the "turn" (turn axis degress) command?
"turn y 90" should give you a 90 degree rotation about the y axis

Hi everyone,
I need to rotate a model by exactly 90 degrees around the Y axis. Mouse precision is not enough. I spent some time searching the command list for something appropriate, but without success. Is there really no way to do this?
Thanks in advance, Konrad.
