Hi Rodrigo! Happily, I can say yes there is a way. You can put the information that would have been entered in the initial MD Movie dialog into a small text file called "metafile" and then open the metafile with a command, e.g. something like:
open md:/Users/meng/Desktop/mymetafile

For example, in VMD you can use: vmd -parm7 topology.parm7 -netcdf trajectory.nc
I am NOT implying VMD is better than Chimera :) It will be just faster to be able to quickly load trajectories from the command line to save some time.
