Hi Carlos, Essentially a “link” between markers in Chimera is a bond, and in general yes, you can add bond labels. However, there is nothing in the Volume Tracer dialog to do this, and I believe you would have to save the session (it is not saved in the marker file). If you select one or more links (or bonds) then open the Selection Inspector by clicking the green magnifying glass icon near the bottom right corner of the Chimera window, and in that dialog inspect: Bond, you can enter bond label text and change the color. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/inspection.html> You can also add a bond label with the “setattr” command, for example to the selected bond(s) with: setattr b label "hello world” sel <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/setattr.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Hello, I would like to know if it’s possible to add a text annotation to marker links (https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/current/docs/ContributedSoftware/volumepath...)
Ideally this would be something similar to the `note` attribute in the marker objects but that would display above the link cylinders. Thanks! Best, Carlos G. Oliver McGill University
