Make sure the .bin file is executable, and then give the full path to it to run it. For example, in terminal window: $ chmod +x Downloads/chimera-1.17.3-linux_x86_64.bin $ Downloads/chimera-1.17.3-linux_x86_64.bin HTH, Greg On 5/1/24 15:38, Conor Bonal via Chimera-users wrote:
Hello, I tried to follow the tutorial to install Chimera on Linux. I'm using a computer with Ubuntu 18.04.5 and it is 64-bit. I followed the tutorial word for word then substituted "chimera-installer.bin" with the file name "chimera-1.17.3-linux_x86_64.bin" and I continued to get the same error message telling me the file or directory does not exist, although I can clearly see it in my downloads folder. Can you provide any assistance with installing the software? Thank you!
