Hi Damien, This happens when the Chimera Camera scale factor becomes enormous (like 1.0e30). The focus command will reset this to 1 and fix the problem. You can see the value in the Camera dialog (Tools / Viewing Controls / Camera). The scale factor gets increased when you zoom in. It works like a telescope zoom -- the field of view gets smaller but the camera doesn't get any closer to the molecule. How does it get to such a huge value? I recall seeing this bug using a Space Navigator input device. It shouldn't happen and indicates some kind of Chimera bug. Tom On Feb 3, 2014, at 7:29 AM, Damien Larivière wrote:
Dear all,
I try to zoom in the scene, to get very close to my model shown here below. I cannot be closer than in the image below, the zooming function is at its maximum. When zooming, I get the error message : refocus to continue scaling
I do not know whether it is a bug or something I'm doing wrong.
Thanks for your help,
Damien
