Hi Sara, The map formats don't include rotation information, so you would need to resample the rotated map on the grid of the other map. This interpolates and makes a new map model. Please see here for details on how to save a map after fitting: <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/savemodel.html#afterfitting> However, Chimera does not write the spider format. You would need to save in MRC, NetCDF, Chimera map, or BRIX format. I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C. Hi, Thank you for a great software :)
I have one problem. I have two em density maps in spider format.
After I have used the fit in map option and one density has been rotated and shifted, how do I save a new spider file with the applied rotation and translation?
Thank you, Sara
