Hi Bernard, Currently there is no preference for the window size, but you can use the --geometry startup option. That requires starting Chimera from the system command line, or on Windows, editing the properties of the icon to include the option. Description of startup options including --geometry: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/options.html General information on how to specify startup options: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/startup.html Alternatively, you can create a Chimera command file that includes the "windowsize" command, and specify that file to be executed automatically when the command line is first shown in later Chimera sessions. That is done in the preferences, Midas category. http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/preferences.html#Midas http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/windowsize.html I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Where is the initial graphics window size set? I did not see any preference for that. I would like to change that to have Chimera open with a bigger window.
