Hello Dan, Signing up for this email list is independent of your Chimera license and whether or not you registered use of Chimera. That is, it doesn’t have anything to do with your installed software. You might have been offered the choice to sign up for mailing lists when you registered Chimera, but regardless of what you did then, you can sign up online: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/feedback.html> <http://plato.cgl.ucsf.edu/mailman/listinfo/chimera-users/index.html> If you don’t subscribe to the chimera-users list, you can still send questions, but you have to wait for the list moderator to approve them before they will be sent out. Maybe you want to subscribe with your new email address. If you can dig up your password (I believe these are autogenerated and emailed to people) that goes with your old email address, you can unsubscribe the old address. I should mention that we are not the DOCK/sphgen developers, so questions specifically about those rather than Chimera would be better directed to a different email list: <http://mailman.docking.org/mailman/listinfo/dock-fans> Re Chimera itself, you can continue to download and use freely in your new position (congratulations!) since it’s still noncommercial use. Hello, I am using the academic license agreement for Chimera from my previous position at the University of Kansas. However, I have now moved to Purdue and am starting my own laboratory. I would like to utilize Chimera in my lab. I sent an email earlier regarding generating spheres when preparing a protein for docking from my Purdue email and it told me I was not a registered user. I subsequently re-sent the email from my KU email since that is what I was licensed under.
Long story short. How to I switch the license agreement to recognize my Purdue email as the registered user? Do I need to un-install Chimera and go through the steps to accept the academic licensing again using my new Purdue email account? Sorry for the confusing email. Thanks! Dan
