At this point we are only fixing critical bugs in Chimera, and while the problem you are having is irksome, it doesn’t qualify as critical. I’m sorry. If you are using Chimera to look at protein structures, I encourage you to try out our new ChimeraX program instead (www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax). It has many, though not all, of the capabilities of Chimera, and many new capabilities as well. We are actively developing and fixing ChimeraX.
