  I just tried the current Chimera 1.15 daily build and I still get the different bad behavior that only the first clicked file is opened, subsequent ones the double click does nothing.

  What you report was also reported as a Chimera bug a couple days ago.

I'll add your email to that bug report so if we fix it you will be notified.  All our effort and funding is on our new ChimeraX program so I do not expect this to get fixed any time soon unless more people speak up.  Apparently the broken behavior was caused by the update to macOS 10.15.4.  There is some chance macOS 10.15.5 will fix it but I think it not likely.
