Keep in mind that if you put in a "real"(covalent) bond then Chimera will probably get the atom typing of the bonded atoms wrong and some chemistry-related functionality may not work as well. In particular, Add Charge may fail to work with the covalently bonded metal. But if all you care about is the depiction and don't intend to use any chemistry-dependent functions, then creating a covalent bond is okay. --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab
