Hi Yongsheng, We have had this reported maybe a half dozen times in the last 15 years, always on Windows. It’s certainly nothing that Chimera is doing, or it would happen to everybody. There are two plausible explanations I can think of. One is that some malware is installed on your machine and is doing this to Chimera and the Edge browser. The other explanation is that a key on your keyboard is stuck (such as F1) or your keyboard is defective. To test this possibility, unplug your keyboard before clicking on Chimera. --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab

Hello, I installed the latest version of UCSF CHIMERA 1.17.3 on my win11 computer. After the installation, a window of related Settings kept coming up, and the EDGE browser was automatically opened to go to the CHIMERA help website. May I ask why? Now as long as you use this software, it keeps popping up small Windows, and the EDGE browser has been playing websites, like a virus, and it can't be used at all.
