Hello,

Chimera and ChimeraX are two different programs.   Alphafold support is only in ChimeraX, not Chimera.  Please send your question to chimerax-users@cgl.ucsf.edu instead.

Dear Greg

Recently I can not use the ChimerX to do the alphafold prediction. The error message is some connection to the colab is broken sine March 2024. I am wondering when this feature of ChimeraX will come back?

Thank you

This is typically a graphics driver bug.  Please update your graphics driver, or revert to an earlier version, to fix the problem.  There is also a chance that rebooting your computer would fix the problem.

Hi, there,

I used Chimera for a very short period of time. When I just started using Chimera I was able to save image by going to "file" and "save image" to save the image on the display window. For some reason, this stopped working. Now, after I did the same thing, the image I saved has complete blackness (attached). I wonder whether I might get be able to get help from you. I also tried using command line to save image. The result is the same.

The exact procedure I used are: Go to "Presets",  choose "publication 1"
, then go to "File" and "save image"

I used window system.

Thank you

J
