Hi Nils, Are you suggesting that the session should automatically save when it is closed? Currently it does not do that -- the session only saves when you specifically indicate it should be saved. It sounds a little dangerous to have the session automatically overwrite itself when closed -- often I'll start with a session I want to keep, and then apply various changes I do not want to save. Our current philosophy is that closing a session is just to clear everything out in one step so you can start something new. You can close a session regardless of whether you actually started with a session file. I personally would not want closing the session to automatically save a file, but perhaps there could be a preference, or a dialog to ask, or a preference about whether to show a dialog to ask! If you specifically save a session, it will restore in the position at the time of saving, and include all the saved positions since the last "close session" or startup, or that were in the session already when you started it. Hi Eric,
agreed. my concern was more about restoring a session. I think it would be good to be able to get back to the same state as immediately before closing the session, including the saved positions.
