The transparentBackground option was added to "movie record" after 1.6.1. You need to use the ChimeraX 1.7 release candidate or daily build to use that option. Here is how I figured that out. I pasted your command into ChimeraX 1.6.1 and it said "Expected a keyword" and in the log it highlighted in red where the problem was at "transparentBackground". Then I typed "help movie record" to the ChimeraX command line so I see the documentation for that command and indeed it does not list the option. Using the "help" command shows the documentation for your exact version of ChimeraX. You probably instead looked at the online ChimeraX documentation which is the current most recent version (1.7 release candidate and daily build). So use the ChimeraX "help" command if you want to be sure to see the documentation for your exact ChimeraX version. We add new ChimeraX features all the time, so it is not uncommon to run into this problem.

This doesn't work: movie record size 1000,1000 format PNG supersample 4 transparentBackground true directory ~/chimera_images; wobble y 120 aspect 2 model #1; wait 50; stop; movie stop and I get this error: "Expected a keyword".
Saving individual PNGs with a transparent background works fine. My version is 1.6.1 (2023-05-09).
