Hi Gonzalo,
I just tried to download Chimera 1.18 of our website, and it worked opening it from both the DMG (do not do this) and from the Applications folder after I dragged it there. I’m running the Sonoma beta to test ChimeraX on it. It’s possible that brief, transient network interruptions can corrupt downloaded files. You might try downloading it again.
In any case, Chimera is ancient software, you would be much better served using ChimeraX unless you have a workflow that depends on unsorted Chimera features. If you have such a workflow, can you let us know what’s keeping you on Chimera so we can better prioritize those features?
