If you just want one file, and you're happy with chimera's performance with all of the files open, you can concatenate all 252 pdb files into one file and chimera will open it as 252 different models. The models are grouped together, so you may wish to ungroup them in the model panel. You also lose the original filenames, which may or may not be important. HTH, Greg
