Are you using Chimera or ChimeraX? You're asking your question on the Chimera users mailing list, but the commands you gave are for ChimeraX.

Chimera is no longer being developed. So the recommendation is to switch to ChimeraX, https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/. For a synopsis of the advantages of ChimeraX over Chimera, see https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/advantages.html.
