Is there any other program that is available to convert it to the right VRML format readable by Chimera? I did a little searching on the web and coudnt find one.
The ivToVRML program converts inventor files to VRML 1.0. To convert the result to VRML97, a.k.a., VRML 2.0, use the vrml1tovrml2 program. Both programs are part of the SGI's cosmoplayer.sw.cosmoplayer product, so if you have one, you should have the other. Greg Couch UCSF Computer Graphics Lab
