Hi Laura, You don't need to ask here, you can just look at the ChimeraX download page. <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/download.html>
It is a "candidate" release 1.11 (probably few weeks more before official), you can try it now if you want to. It is your choice. We don't know of bugs but that is why we have a candidate, so that more people can test it on their different computers. It's not hard to just download again later when the release is official, however.
Also please note: if you have ChimeraX questions in the future, please use the other address chimerax-users@cgl.ucsf.edu <mailto: chimerax-users@cgl.ucsf.edu> (this chimera-users address is for Chimera -- they are two different programs and we don't want people to be confused).
I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Chimera(X) team Resource for Biocomputing, Visualization, and Informatics Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco

Dear ChimeraX Support Team, I am writing to ask about the release of ChimeraX version 1.11, which is expected today. Is it already available for download? Since I need to use the software today, would you recommend waiting for the new release or downloading the previous version for now?
Thank you,
