Hello, The address for asking questions is chimera-users@cgl.ucsf.edu, CC'd here. In the Find Clashes/Contacts tool, clicking "Designate" is only one step. You still have to click the "Apply" or "OK" button at the bottom for anything to happen. For a step-by-step example of using Find Clashes/Contacts, see this tutorial: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/tutorials/squalene.html> You can also see the help for the Find Clashes/Contacts tool by clicking its Help button, or see the same information on our website here: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/findclash/findclash.html> Your gro file may have some problems, but it is impossible for us to guess what they are without seeing it. To send it, please use the Chimera menu: Help... Report a Bug. Using the bug-reporting dialog, please enter a short description of the problem, your e-mail address, and also (most important) attach the gro file. Elaine ----- Elaine C. I have some problems with chimera. I would like to ask you. When I open a gro file with chimera, it always shows that it is being opened, but it just won't open. Then, after I opened the PDB file, want to use the Find Clashes/Contacts function, click to Designate button but no response, asked a lot of the others didn't get a reply. This makes me very distressed. I am looking forward to your answer to my question. Thank you!My system is WIN7.
