If you want to specify elevation 60 degrees and azimuth 110 degrees start with the map in the initial position when opened and use the turn command

turn z -110

turn x -30

The initial position has the map z axis pointing out of the screen, the x axis to the right, and the y axis vertical on the screen.  The turn command rotates relative to the screen axes so the first command does a z rotation rotates about the map z axis (which is aligned with the screen z axis), and the second command tilts relative to the screen x axis — since the initial elevation is 90 degrees (looking down at the north pole of the map, to get down to 60 degrees elevation I rotate by 30 = 90-60 degrees.  To reset to the initial view use the reset command:
