Hi Kristin,

The Chimera stereo parameters are shown using menu Tools / Viewing Controls / Camera.  You will see "eye separation", "distance to screen" and "screen width".  These are used to determine the parallax between the left and right eye images.  The default eye separation is 2 inches and default distance to screen is 24 inches, making the default rotation about 4.78 degrees (= 2*atan(1/24)).  Chimera does not simply rotate the view -- that is a cheap trick for making a stereo pair.  It actually uses a different camera view point projecting onto the same plane.  (Rotation doesn't do the projection onto the same plane, instead using a rotated plane, which produces a slightly different appearance, usually perfectly acceptable.)

To whom it may concern,

When creating a stereo image in chimera using the camera view options, what is the default degree of rotation between the left and right image? Can this be changed? Thank you in advance. Kristin
