Hi Saul, You can use whatever colors you like with the rainbow command, see: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/rainbow.html (all of the built-in color names are shown under Actions... Color... all colors) There is also a Rainbow graphical interface; it too allows the coloring scheme to be changed. Open that tool (Tools... Depiction... Rainbow), set it to "chain." Clicking on a square color well opens the Color Editor, in which a color can be chosen interactively. Man page for the Rainbow GUI: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/rainbow/ rainbow.html Enjoy! Elaine ----- Elaine C. Dear Chimera group,
Simple question from a new user--How do I distinctly color ribbon representations of different chains within the same model?
Thanks,
