Hi Angela, I have no idea what you mean by “not available”. Click the black triangle to the left of “Frame Options” in the Movie Recorder dialog to reveal the options. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/recorder/recorder.html> Or, if you are using the “movie record” command, they are additional command options: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/movie.html#record-options> However, the error message says the error is during encoding, not recording, so I doubt that the problem is in the frame options. The first thing is to make sure that the output file location is somewhere that you have permission to write files. I think there might be a problem with the frame directory, but I can neither change the frame options (they are hidden) nor do I find any information on how to get the permission to change the fram options.
