Hi Dmitry,

Here's some example Python code to flip atom z coordinates in our newer program ChimeraX.

Dear Elaine,

By ‘model’ I mean coordinate file that is build up by coot/phenix for fitting into the volume map.
The ‘vop zflip’ works for the volume maps

Any options how to flip the coordinate map?

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Dmitry

Hi Dmitry,
It depends what you mean by "model" but for maps in Chimera there is a "vop zflip" command for flipping about the Z axis only:

There is no option to do this for other types of models.

ChimeraX map flipping ("volume flip") can use other axes, not just Z:

I hope this helps,
Elaine
