Blast web service appears to be down

Hi Blast web services and modeller web services are down for the past week. I was able to rectify modeller by opting to run locally Is there any similar options for Blast services? Regards Anitha.S

Hi Anitha, I believe the Blast Protein web service connected to Chimera is running — I just tried it, with success. Maybe there is some connection or firewall issue on your end? There isn’t a run-local option for this tool, sorry. Of course, you could run blast at the NCBI website (not connected to Chimera): <https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi?PROGRAM=blastp&PAGE_TYPE=BlastSearch&LINK_LOC=blasthome> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
