chimera crashing upon opening of trajectory
Dear Sir/Madam, I am unable to open a trajectory (50 ns and about 25 gb size) in a chimera GUI. I am getting a python crash error after some time of initial message of 'reading PDB...' and then chimera shuts down. Is it the large file size that is causing the python to crash? Looking forward for the guidance. Best regards, Natesh
Hi Natesh, It could well be a memory issue. Could you use Chimera’s Help->Report A Bug menu item to open a bug report about this. I know you also reported this by tacking it onto the end of a different bug report, but that report didn’t come from Report A Bug and therefore doesn’t have details about what version of Chimera you’re using, what OS you’re running, how much memory your machine has, and so forth.
