Hi Michał, It sounds like you want the “writesel” command instead. For example, the following would write a list of the selected atoms to the Reply Log. writesel - itemType atom Details: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/writesel.html> The command “list atoms” is to report the attribute values of atoms, for example the bfactors of the selected atoms with command: list atoms spec sel attribute bfactor That also puts the information in the Reply Log. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/listen.html#listatoms> I should probably add a crossreference from the “list” manpage to the “writesel” manpage.
