Hi, Does Chimera have a built-in function to save the map after it is fit into another map? The current save map could not save the new orientation and new location. Thanks, Weimin
Dear Weimin, The map files do not contain orientation information, so you can't simply save the map after rotating it. Instead you would need to make a new map by resampling the moved map onto the grid of the reference map with "vop resample" -- this is explained in the bottom section of this page, "Saving Maps After Fitting": <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/savemodel.html#afterfitting> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
