Hi, everyone: Once I fit one map to the reference map, there will be some fitting result. I want to use this fitting result to align the map to the reference map using another software, for example, EMAN. How do I this? It seems that I am not clear about the fitting result, could anyone give some idea? or, is there other protocol/software to do this? Thank you! Best, Zhongjun

Hi Zhongjun, To save the fitted result, you would need to resample it on the grid of the other map. This will create a new, fitted map copy. Then if you open the new fitted copy and the other map in some other software, they will already be superimposed correctly. See “saving maps after fitting” at the bottom of this page for how to do it: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/savemodel.html#afterfitting> I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
