Select multiple files and open in the same instance

I used to have Chimera configured to select multiple files, click open, and have them all open in the same instance. After I reinstalled it, now it opens an instance for every file, how can I change it back? Regards.

Hi Ahmad, I'm guessing you are using MacOS Catalina, for which this is a known problem. Sorry, there is no Chimera setting to control it. One possibility is to use ChimeraX instead, which does not have this problem, but it depends on which tools/features you are using. ChimeraX has the same map fitting and many other things as Chimera. Some currently missing features are listed in the ChimeraX download page. This separate-instance problem was mentioned in earlier posts, for example: <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/pipermail/chimera-users/2020-June/016910.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Try using the Browser Configuration tool in Tools / Utilities to reset the file type associations to the current Chimera. That was designed for Windows 7, but it might still work. -- Greg On 10/30/2020 10:17 AM, Ahmad Khalifa wrote:
