how to product a color scale bar

Dear all, I am writing to ask how to product a scale bar to indicating different radius with different color when I visualizing a spheric structure with Chimera. Thanks. Regards! C.J.

Hi C.J., Sounds like you want to make a Color Key (under Tools... Utilities in the Chimera menu): <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/2dlabels/2dlabels.html#colorkey> Actually, if you are already using Surface Color to do the radial coloring, you don't need to start Color Key separately. Instead just click the "Options" button near the bottom of the Surface Color dialog, and after you have done the coloring as you like, click "Create color key". That will start up the Color Key tool with the same values already filled in, and you can click-drag with the mouse in the graphics window to draw the key. I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
