How to change the style of Hbonds

Hello all, I am doing the Hbond analysis for my investigation. I found that the Hbonds are labeled as the solid line in the Chimera. But I prefer the dashed line. How to change it? Thank you~~~ -- Wen-Ting Chu State Key Laboratory of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Institute of Theoretical Chemistry, Jilin University, Changchun 130023, P. R. China

Hi Wendy, There are a few different ways: (a) Ctrl-click to select one H-bond, press keyboard up-arrow to expand selection to all H-bonds, click the green magnifying glass icon near the bottom of the Chimera window to open Selection Inspector, inspect "Pseudobond group" and change the "line style" <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/inspection.html> (b) start Pseudobond Panel (in menu under Tools... General Controls), click on group name "hydrogen bonds" on the left and then "attributes" on the right, change "line style" <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/pbpanel.html> (c) use command "setattr" e.g. something like: setattr g lineType 2 <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/setattr.html> The attribute name (e.g. lineType) and what values mean what (e.g. 2= dashed, 3 = dotted) are shown in the balloon help when you put the mouse over the attribute dialogs mentioned in (a) and (b). I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
