Two things, can't seem to figure out how to: 1. Offset a residue label 2. In stick mode enlarge the stick or thicken it. Thanks A G Szabo

Hi Arthur, (1) the “rlabel” command can include the x,y,z offset directly, e.g. command to show label for residue 25 in chain A: rlab offset 2,2,0 :25.A rlab offset default :25.A <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/rlabel.html> Or, if you showed the label with the menu and you want to move it with the mouse, first you have to assign some mouse button to do it: Favorites… Preferences, then in preferences choose Category: Mouse. By default label-dragging is not assigned to any mouse button. You can assign any of: left, middle, right, Ctrl-left, Ctrl-middle, Ctrl-right. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/preferences.html#Mouse> (2) if you don’t mind changing all the sticks the same, then (similar to ballScale for ball size) command: setattr m stickScale 1.8 <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/setattr.html> …or some other number (default 1.0). If you want to change only specific sticks, Ctrl-click to select them, then menu: Actions… Inspect, then enter a different “radius” value in the resulting dialog. You can first Shift-Ctrl-click to select more than one bond at once. I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
