Problems installing and running chimera on opensuse 12.1

Hi all, I'm having problems after the opensuse (gnome desktop) upgrade to the 12.1 version. I can go on for hours how great this new gnome desktop is *NOT*, but that's not the main issue here. During installation, the messages are as follows: Downloads% ./chimera-alpha-linux_x86_64\(1\).bin UnZipSFX 5.41 of 16 April 2000, by Info-ZIP (Zip-Bugs@lists.wku.edu). Sorry, I forgot to add that bzip2 is installed (v 1.0.6), I am not sure if the right libbz2 came with it. Running the earlier version of chiemra (September 14) brings up the GUI but the loaded molecules are invisible (the screen remains black). The installer woks now (as of November 19th version), thank you. Unfortunately, the atoms are not getting displayed (I get black screen). I can change the color of the background, though:) Best regards, Vis ________________________________ From: Visvaldas K. <coyote_v2002@yahoo.com> To: "chimera-users@cgl.ucsf.edu" <chimera-users@cgl.ucsf.edu> Sent: Friday, November 16, 2012 1:19 PM Subject: Re: Problems installing and running chimera on opensuse 12.1 Sorry, I forgot to add that bzip2 is installed (v 1.0.6), I am not sure if the right libbz2 came with it. Hi Vis, Submit a bug report with Chimera menu entry Help / Report a Bug. The problem is your graphics driver and submitting a bug report will give us info about that. Tom On Nov 20, 2012, at 12:34 AM, "Visvaldas K." wrote:

By coincidence, that was fixed yesterday, so today's daily build should work for you. If it doesn't, please let me know. -- Greg On Fri, 16 Nov 2012, Visvaldas K. wrote:
