Hello, I hope you are doing well. Is there a command on chimera that will allow me to select for the atoms in aromatic rings? I found a workaround by defining the atoms involved in the aromatic rings and then making my selection. However, I would like to use a command (or perhaps combination of commands) from chimera to select the aromatic atoms. Hello, You can just use command: select aromatic ring ...same as using menu: Select... Chemistry... functional group... aromatic ring All of the terminal entries in the Select... Chemistry menu can be used as command-line specifiers, as discussed here: <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/midas/atom_spec.html#builtin> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
