Methanesulfinamide Stability and Synthesis
Hello All, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has information on the stability of methanesulfinamide (SMILES: C[S](=O)N([H])[H]), as well as it's stability in water. Thank you.

Hi Nancy, I don't know too much about sufinamides but expect that they, like carboxamides, are relatively stable derivatives of sulfinic acids. I expect it will depend a lot on what you plan to do with it, though. You can always create a solution and see if it decomposes over whatever time frame you are considering for its usage. Hi Nancy, This is not a Chimera question -- better to ask on CCL.net or some other chemistry-related forum. Also, why not look in chemical databases such as PubChem?
