Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to know how to save single protein-ligand complex pose using chimera. While saving I am getting an error message mentioning- "You must provide a file name that contains either $name or $number, which will be changed to the model name or model number (respectively) in the final saved file name". How to solve the issue.

Dear Samaha Th, The correct e-mail address for questions is chimera-users@cgl.ucsf.edu (see CC) not chimera-bugs. The message means exactly what it says. You have chosen an option to save multiple files, so you have to enter a name that includes either “$number” or “$name” so that it can make multiple names. For example, if you had models #1 and #2 in Chimera and you entered the name myfile$number.pdb …you would get two files, one named myfile1.pdb and one named myfile2.pdb. If you only want one file, then don’t choose the “multiple files” option in the Save dialog. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/savemodel.html#pdb> I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
