Hello, for some reason, the default rotation option in the viewing window always comes back to "independent" when I restore a session; how could I change the default to be "center of models" for example ? Jean-Francois

Hi Jean-Francois, The rotation method is remembered as part of the session. You could start the session, change the method to what you want and re-save (or save to a new session name). For the rotation method you get by just starting Chimera without a session file, you can change the default by choosing "Tools... Movement... Rotation", setting the method, and clicking Save to apply your change to later uses of Chimera. If you open a session file, however, the method saved with that session will be used. <http://plato.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/sideview.html#rotation> I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
