Hello Dominic, Glad you like Chimera! One issue may be that you definitely have to show a molecular surface on a structure for the values to be calculated in the first place (although you could hide the molecular surface after it is shown). Secondly, you might need to refresh the menu of available attributes after you show the molecular surface.
