Dear colleagues, How to record video: chimera-resmap animation that resmap creates for the local resolution. Sincerely, Dmitry

Hi Dmitry, Resmap is not developed by our lab, but by Kucukelbir et al. at Yale. So I didn’t even know what animation you were talking about until I looked at the Resmap manual, which says that it outputs a script that animates slicing a surface. <http://resmap.sourceforge.net/> In Chimera, you could use the Movie Recorder GUI to try to start/stop recording “manually" at the right time as the script is executed, but it can be hard to synchronize. The other way is to add “movie” commands to the script from Resmap. See the Chimera movie-recording documentation for links to GUI and command manual pages, and examples of movie-recording scripts. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
