Dear specialist, I know how to use hide selected atoms (Menu: Actions => Atoms/Bonds => Hide), but I would like to use command lines instead. Anyone could help me with that? Thank you! Best regards! C.J.

Hi CJ, The command is ~display … you may want to take a look at the “getting started: commands” tutorial. It shows commands for several common actions, and there are examples of using ~display: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/tutorials/getting_started.html> Also, if you look at the menu documentation, it has a lot of “see also” that mentions the commands that do the same thing. For example, the Actions… Atoms/Bonds description says to see also commands “display” and “represent” <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/menu.html> <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/menu.html#menuactions> Finally, you can always just look at the index of commands with short descriptions of what they do: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/framecommand.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
